Let’s Guac & Roll

Nothing beats great guacamole. Especially from Tortilla! Lovingly made with ripe Hass avocados; hand-smashed, extra chunky and full of zesty lime and coriander – this stuff will guac your world! Literally.

But we can’t take all the credit, our Head of Food Martyn Clover has worked tirelessly to perfect our famous recipe and for the first time ever, we’re letting ya’ll in on the secret, so you can avo go yourself!

This recipe serves 2 people armed with a bag of Tortilla corn chips!

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados (Hass is best)

½ white onion – chopped

½ red onion – chopped

Handful fresh coriander – roughly chopped

1 tbsp fresh lime juice

1 tsp salt

Optional: chopped cherry tomatoes, garlic and chili flakes

Method:

Peel and hand-mash your avocados using a fork or potato masher, gently does it – we’re not about that puree life! Gently stir in your chopped onions and coriander, then add the lime juice and salt. Keep adding to taste!

If you’re feeling adventurous, chuck in some fresh garlic (finely chopped or crushed) and chilli flakes to add a hit of spice. Chopped cherry tomatoes are also a great addition.

Now time to dig in with your corn chips! But remember, if you don’t have time to make it yourself, there’s always a fresh batch of tasty Tortilla guac available at any store year-round, so come say hey and we’ll guac you out!
