If you're hoping to avoid gluten, opt for our naked burrito or corn tacos and you're away! The only things to avoid are our tortilla wraps, and flour tacos. While all other ingredients don't contain gluten, we can't 100% guarantee our dishes as gluten free as they may contain traces. If you're gluten intolerant please let us know at the start of the line when ordering and we'll take extra care for you!
The beauty of our meals is that you can customise everything to your liking. Make sure you advise our crew at the start of the order about your allergy and they will be happy to help you!
Yes, the chicken we serve in all our stores is certified halal. While we are not a halal certified restaurant, our chicken is suitable for a halal diet. Please note that our chicken is pre-stunned, and is prepared in a kitchen that contains pork and we do serve alcohol.
Due to the nature of our kitchens, we can never guarantee cross-contamination but we have really strict food safety policies in place to avoid it as much as possible. Our crew is trained at every little step during the food prep to avoid cross contamination with every meal we serve. If you have any intolerance then please speak to our crew at the start of the line when ordering and theyâll be happy to help!
We source the best quality Hass avocados and hand-make our guacamole fresh every day - this is why it tastes so good but also why we have to charge a little extra for it. The same applies to all our friends in the Mexican grab-and-go industry, and actually ours is the cheapest!
Tortilla has signed the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC) thereby committing to meet or exceed the standards set out in the BCC by 2026 for 100% of the chicken in our UK supply chain. This year we have been in dialogue with our suppliers who have agreed to source to this standard and in the meantime, we are committed to annual reporting of progress, against each of the BCC requirements.Â
We are committed to using exclusively free range eggs and egg products throughout our menu and in our ingredients. We are 100% free range across our entire egg supply (shell/ liquid/ ingredient) in the UK.Â
