Running for a cause

Tortilla UK’s 500+ crew are working together to raise £10,000 for charity! Champions from each store nationwide will race 10km around London on 15th October in support of the Tim Bacon Foundation; a charity supporting cancer research in the UK.
This year’s proceeds will support the Foundation’s opening of the UK’s first Proton Beam Therapy Centre – an innovative approach to cancer treatment, especially for young people. The Tim Bacon Foundation was set up in the name of late entrepreneur Tim Bacon; a passionate man who dedicated his life to transforming the UK’s hospitality industry. Last year Tim lost his battle with cancer, but his fighting spirit lives on in all those who knew him. One of those people is Tortilla’s Managing Director Richard Morris.“Tim and I worked together many moons ago when we were both starting out in the hospitality industry,” says Richard. “He was always someone who was going to achieve great things. He had great drive and energy and loved looking after people.”“Proton Beam Therapy is achieving incredible results in early-stage detection and treatment of childhood cancer. It’s an exceptional cause for Tortilla to support and I’m excited to join my fellow Tortilla crew on the race track next Sunday!”Visit to track Tortilla’s fundraising or to donate! Help us change lives one step at a time (literally).
